Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was born in 1856 for the period of the Habsburg Austrian Empire in modern day Croatia and he was a visionary electrical and mechanical engineer. The innovation relating to electricity and power distribution can be considered as his key inventions in the realm of technology of the later part of the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

Tesla traveled from the Habsburg Empire which is from a different era to New York City which is rather from a different era of the existent world in 1884. Thomas Edison was the first associate on that path that helped create him as the primary figure behind the technological revolution of the time.

Tesla’s roots are in Smiljan; however, he had to migrate to New York City to work with Edison, which determined his subsequent inventions.

At the end of the 19th century, the scientific competition of Tesla and Edison became famous concerning the question of how electricity would be transmitted. Tesla’s stand for AC over Edison’s DC had won, and with the help of George Westinghouse. This triumph paved the way for the contemporary electrical energy generation and distribution frameworks.

In an erstwhile TED talk, Tesla’s work in Electrical Engineering and Transmission of Power has been touched upon how they influenced space exploration. Despite the fact that he was an influential inventor who contributed to the construction of principal applications such as the Tesla coil that helped shape the radio, television, and other electronics important in space exploration.

Through such activities as the application of AC power for the illumination at the World’s Columbian Exposition, Tesla realized collaboration with Westinghouse Company, and he elaborated his project of application of the AC power of the Niagara Falls hydroelectric station.

Recognized for his flamboyance and faith in wireless, free energy Tesla struggled with money issues but continued working on his inventions.

Tesla's legacy is enduring. His inventions are of great importance in electricity, power transmission, and in wireless communication and messaging technologies; he is one of the technological gurus who have challenged the generations to come into thinking big and inventing more and better technologies.
